What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website function correctly, remember your preferences, and — with your consent — help us understand how visitors use the site.
Cookies we use
We operate two tiers: essential cookies (always active, cannot be disabled) and analytics cookies (only activated with your consent).
Essential cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They do not collect personal data for marketing or tracking.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cookieConsent |
Records your cookie consent choice (essential or all). Prevents the banner re-appearing on every page visit. | Essential | 6 months (browser localStorage) |
cookieConsentExpiry |
Stores the expiry timestamp for your consent record. The banner re-appears after 6 months to renew consent. | Essential | 6 months (browser localStorage) |
Note: Consent values are stored in your browser's localStorage, not in HTTP cookies. They are not transmitted to our server and cannot be accessed by third parties.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
These cookies are only set if you click "Accept All" on the cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors navigate the site. No personal health information is ever passed to Google Analytics.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes unique visitors. Used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for analytics reports. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_[ID] |
Maintains session state for a specific Google Analytics 4 property. | Analytics | 2 years |
IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Google Analytics data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place with Google Ireland Limited.
Your choices & how to change them
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below. The cookie banner will reopen so you can choose Essential Only or Accept All.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing ones, or receive a notification before a cookie is set. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect website functionality.
For guidance on managing cookies, visit www.aboutcookies.org or the Data Protection Commission's guide to cookies.
You can opt out of Google Analytics sitewide using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-party services
This website uses the following third-party services which may process data when you visit:
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google servers. Google may log the request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Formspree — processes appointment enquiry form submissions. GDPR-compliant. See Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — only activated with your consent. See analytics table above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The date below shows when this policy was last updated. If we introduce new analytics or tracking cookies, we will update this policy and seek fresh consent.
